Future Leaders of Manufacturing Scholarship

Available only to SME Student Chapter Members, the Future Leaders of Manufacturing Scholarship recognizes the educational accomplishments and contributions to the SME Student Chapter.

How to Apply

Complete the on-line SME Education Foundation Scholarship application by February 1st.  Upon completion of the application the student will be automatically become eligible for consideration for all SME Education Foundation Scholarships, along with the Future Leaders of Manufacturing Scholarship.

The student will be notified if they are eligible for the Future Leaders of Manufacturing Scholarship and requested to provide a Letter of Reference from the SME Student Chapter Faculty Advisor.

Faculty Advisor Instructions

The Letter of Recommendation from the SME Student Chapter Faculty Advisor should address:

  • Participation in the student chapter
  • Accomplishments
  • Awards and honor
  • Work Experience
  • Why the student chose a career in manufacturing
  • How the scholarship will help further the student’s leadership skills and education/career

IMPORTANT

The student cannot be considered for the Future Leaders of Manufacturing Scholarship unless the Letter of Recommendation is submitted by the SME Student Chapter Faculty Advisor by February 1st.
