We are proud that our efforts have been nationally recognized for our dedication to expanding educational resources available to young people through our awards, scholarships, and youth programs - all designed to attract and develop our future manufacturing workforce.

SME Education Foundation Grants

Youth Program Grants

The SME Education Foundation is committed to building the future manufacturing workforce in North America to compete in the 21st century global economy. Our strategy is to expose students to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in order to make an informed decision about pursuing a career in these disciplines. The Foundation's goal is to create a pathway that will offer students information and awareness beginning in elementary school through middle and high school leading into post secondary options. We place particular emphasis on involving women and minority students; two groups industry and the profession have recognized as largely untapped pools of talent.
