History
SME Chapters have a long tradition of supporting the Foundation. In 2003 SME Chapter 198 - Downriver Detroit continued the tradition by surpassing the minimum level of $25,000 that is needed to establish a named endowed scholarship fund. The Chapter 198 Scholarship Fund is a permanent and predictable resource for the Chapter's financial aid program, aiding deserving students for generations to come.
