Ford Blue Oval Scholarship

Ford Motor Company will establish the San Antonio area Ford Blue Oval Scholarship. The program offers support to students pursuing post-secondary education in engineering or technology related programs. The scholarship program is administered through the SME Education Foundation.
Terms
- The scholarship, known at the Ford Blue Oval Scholarship-San Antonio, will be administered by the SME Education Foundation. Each student selected will be known as a Ford Blue Oval Scholar.
- The Ford Blue Oval Scholarship Fund will provide scholarship awards for students as a one-time gift. Students may apply for subsequent awards.
- Award funds will be deposited in an account at the recipient’s institution of choice.
- Recipients must provide the Foundation with the name and address of the school/financial aid office they plan on attending.
- Scholarship funds can only be used as a credit toward tuition, fees, books, and course related equipment.
- Recipients must contact the designated official at their school regarding the procedure for the disbursement of funds.
Criteria
- Applicants must reside in Bexar County, Texas
- Minimum - 2.5/4.0 GPA or GED certificate
- Scholarship applicants must be either a part time or full time students and pursuing a career in engineering or engineering technology.
- Applicant must be enrolled in a diploma/certificate, two-year or four-year degree program

- Two (2) Letters of Reference
Submission
Application and required supporting documentation must be received by the SME Education Foundation by November 13, 2009.
