The SME Education Foundation supports the Additive Manufacturing Competition and Tooling U-SME’s Additive Manufacturing Fundamentals Certification exam at the annual SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, Kentucky by providing scholarships to the high school winners of the contest.

Business and industry representatives gathered at Center Line High School to hear from Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel, Center Line Public Schools Superintendent Eve Kaltz, Michigan Manufacturers Association Vice President of Government Affairs Mike Johnston and Rob Luce, vice president of the SME Education Foundation.

43 schools receive sustainability awards, 16 schools for first time
Bloomsburg, Penn., Sept. 16, 2024 – Since the beginning of the 2022-2023 academic year, the SME Education Foundation has empowered students at Columbia-Montour Area Vocational Technical School (CMAVTS) with cutting-edge training in advanced manufacturing through its SME PRIME® program.
SME, the nonprofit association committed to advancing the widespread adoption of manufacturing technologies and developing North America’s talent and capabilities, and global additive manufacturing leader Stratasys, announced the winners of their cosponsored 2024 Additive Manufacturing Competition, conducted as part of the 60th annual SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, held in Atlanta June 24-28.
