Long Beach, Calif. Nov. 8, 2023 – The SME Education Foundation, the philanthropic arm of SME, announced Frank W Ervin III was reelected for a second term as its board of directors’ president at the recent Fall Gala on November 5th in Long Beach, Calif.
The SME Education Foundation launched its SME PRIME (Partnership Response in Manufacturing Education) program at the William D. Ford Career-Technical Center today. The program provides manufacturing education for high school students, creating a pathway to a lucrative career or additional manufacturing education opportunities post-graduation.
Students at William Horlick High School in Racine, Wisconsin, have had access to new manufacturing education opportunities from the start of the 2021-22 school year through the SME Education Foundation.
